Brian the enigma
People who know Brian may find it difficult to define him. He is an entrepreneur and has been self-employed most of his life. It is no wonder that he was one of the first to add his name to Pertria’s roster. His vision has helped to shape Pertria’s culture and bring to life its integrated services model, online presence, and working documents. Yet Brian may best be known for his unique perspective and ironic humor. Brian rarely passes on an opportunity to disarm colleagues and clients with topical humor and word play. Brian loves being surrounded by people who believe in what they are doing, welcomes challenges and can laugh along the way
Brian the former globetrotter
Brian was a professional musician in New York, owned a nightclub in San Francisco and learned fluent Danish in his wife’s native Copenhagen. Leaving aside his domestic travels, Brian has motorcycled through Southeast Asia, trekked the Himalayas, worked on a sheep station in New Zealand, summited volcanoes in Indonesia, chanted with monks in Tibet, explored the outback of Australia and spent months on safari in Eastern Africa. With much of his “bucket list” already complete, Brian is focused on his career and family. Brian loves his work but is also exceptionally committed to spending quality time with his wife and two children. It is not uncommon to find him in the back yard gathered around the fire pit sharing meals, laughs, time with friends, and a good story or two.
What Pertria means to Brian, and vice versa
“Pertria is a good fit for me,” Brian says with a droll smile, “because everybody here is eccentric just like me.” It is this ‘unconventional’ spirit that is the foundation of Pertria’s offer and competitive advantage in the marketplace. Everyone is dedicated to learning something different each day and leveraging their personal best to facilitate the needs of their clients. Brian, as you can tell, is drawn to the spectacular and believes that Pertria is his crowning jewel.
Brian Bernasconi
Brian Bernasconi constructs and executes real estate investment strategies that augment clients’ complete investment strategies with a focus on wealth-building, retirement planning and long-term financial security.
As a real estate investment advisor at Pertria in Los Gatos, California, Mr. Bernasconi specializes in primary residence sales and purchases, residential and multi-family investments, fractional interest ownership, 1031 exchange and tax deferment. Partnering with certified financial analysts he uses calculations to forecast growth opportunities and risks for clients and then factors in lifestyle goals and personal circumstances to design a complete course of action for financial success.
A South Bay Area native, Mr. Bernasconi has resided in some of the world’s greatest cultural centers including New York, Sydney and Copenhagen, and has traveled extensively through more than 30 countries across five continents. From his considerable international experience he has gained an inimitable global perspective enabling him to interpret and capitalize on the significance of world sociopolitical and economic events. He also brings years of management and leadership experience as a business owner and entrepreneur.
Throughout his career he has worked extensively with the California Association of Realtors and the Silicon Valley Association of Realtors taking an active role in helping to shape legislative policy impacting real estate investors across the region and state.
